Net Meter - Net Meter monitors traffic through all network connections on current computer, and displays real-time graphical and numerical downloading and uploading speeds. The software supports to display transfer rates of multiple network connections at the same time. It also logs network traffic and provides daily, weekly, monthly, and summary traffic reports. And start days of week and month are customizable. The program allows you to setup a notification to get an alert when you exceed a certain amount of bandwidth usage. And, traffic stopwatch enables you to test bandwidth speed of connections. You can also record transfer rates of connections in plain text or Microsoft Excel CSV format. Net Meter works with the majority network connections including phone modems, DSL, cable modem, LAN, satellite, wireless, VPN and more. The software is fully compatible with Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003, and Windows Vista.

 Very Easy to Use
Net Meter is an extremely easy to set up and use. It appears to give accurate information relating to the data flow on my network.

Net Meter-worked well
It wasn't particularly what I was looking for: I was looking for a program that would automate testing network transfer speeds by sending a file/ping every so often. That might be a good addition in the future ;) I think the reports might show me what I want to see over time anyway - obvious drops in transfer rates, not just drops in usage.
Regardless, Net Meter is a very well made program and certainly did what it said it would do. It had a nice set of features. A few comments:
1. It might be good to have a little button/icon on the window that can be clicked to access options, rather than having to right-click. More intuitive.
2. I loved how help was set up graphically and that it opened alongside the program right after installing. "Here's your intro to your new program," it says.
3. It would be nice if it could run without a user being logged in, or at least, I suppose it could but I wouldn't know how to set that up.
4. The transparency is well used.

Not what was required
I was after a solution for multiple IP address traffic logging from a DHCP service. This product does not fit my criteria.

Pleased even if it wasn`t what I needed
I was actually looking for a way to analyse ADSL traffic at a packet level. This tool doesn't do that but it is none the less excellent at what it does do. It is easy to download, set up and use and presents an easy to read, real time graphical representation of traffic flow and volume. Very pleased with it, well done!

Great program
Great for controlling your bandwidth usage. Includes alarms and a calculator for knowing how many time will it take a file to download.
